Daiwa House Acquires Stake in UK Housebuilder Miller Homes
Daiwa House acquired a stake in Miller Homes to support the company's goal of increasing annual production to 7,000 new homes.
Miller Homes secured a strategic investment from Daiwa House to support its growth target of increasing production from 5,000 to 7,000 new homes per year. An Apollo-managed fund will remain the controlling shareholder of the housebuilder, which operates across England, Scotland, and Wales.
Chief Executive Officer Stewart Lynes stated that the transaction marks a significant milestone for the company and noted that the support of the Apollo team was instrumental in executing the growth strategy. He described Daiwa House as a long-term strategic partner.
The deal will not result in changes to the company's management team, strategy, capital structure, or day-to-day operations. Miller Homes will continue to operate under its existing brands, including St. Modwen Homes. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to close later in 2026.
