INEC Reports 81 Percent PVC Collection in Osun State

The Independent National Electoral Commission announced that 1,906,390 registered voters in Osun State have collected their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) for the governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2026. This collection rate represents 81.50 percent of the state's total 2,339,233 registered voters.

Mohammed Haruna, the National Commissioner and Chairman of the Information and Voter Education Committee, confirmed that 426,842 cards remain uncollected. These cards, representing 18.50 percent of the total, have been deposited with the Central Bank of Nigeria for safekeeping.

In addition to the primary distribution, 6,101 individuals who requested replacements for lost or damaged cards utilized downloadable copies. The commission has published a detailed breakdown of PVC collection by polling unit on its website and stated it is ready to conduct the election.
