Pakistan and Saudi Arabia Strengthen Diplomatic and Strategic Ties

Pakistan conducted a series of high-level diplomatic and military engagements on Friday to strengthen regional ties and bilateral partnerships. Ishaq Dar, Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, held separate telephone conversations with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. The officials discussed the evolving regional situation and coordinated preparations for the upcoming R-4 meeting.

During his call with Prince Faisal, Dar congratulated the Saudi minister on the consensus election of Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed as the new Secretary General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation. The three nations committed to maintaining close consultations regarding shared diplomatic concerns and regional developments.

Simultaneously, Saudi Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdulrahman Abdulmohsen Al-Fadley met with Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi. The meeting focused on the strategic partnership between the two nations, with specific discussions on expanding cooperation in environmental sustainability and agriculture. Field Marshal Munir reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to strengthening bilateral ties, while Minister Al-Fadley praised Pakistan's role in maintaining regional peace and stability.
