Hertz Car Sales Launches 100K Mile Used Vehicle Warranty

Hertz Car Sales launched the 100K Mile Protection program, providing a three-year or 100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty on eligible used vehicles at no additional cost. The warranty covers the engine, transmission, and drive axle for vehicles five model years old or newer that have fewer than 75,000 miles at the time of sale.

Under the program, a $100 deductible applies to each covered repair visit. Eligible customers may also receive towing, complimentary rental cars, and travel breakdown reimbursement for specific mechanical failures. The offering is available through the company's nationwide retail network and online platform.

Executive Vice President Jeff Adams stated the program responds to a growing consumer emphasis on reliability and long-term value. He noted that new vehicle prices are rising and the average age of cars on U.S. roads has reached nearly 13 years.
