Pakistan Kills 2,084 Terrorists in 40,348 Intelligence Operations

The Military of Pakistan killed four terrorists and destroyed two vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices during an intelligence-based operation in the Khuzdar district of Balochistan on July 30, 2026. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) identified the targets as members of Fitna al Hindustan, a group described as an Indian proxy. This strike is part of the Azm-e-Istehkam campaign, a counter-terrorism initiative approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan.

Following the operation, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director General of ISPR, provided a broader assessment of national security in a press conference. He announced that security forces conducted 40,348 intelligence-based operations in 2026, resulting in 2,084 terrorist deaths. The vast majority of these activities occurred in Balochistan, which saw 31,080 operations, while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa saw 7,177.

Chaudhry reported that 3,145 terrorism incidents occurred this year, including 28 suicide attacks, which killed 819 Pakistanis, including 303 army personnel. He attributed the instability in Balochistan to a sardari system of tribal elitism and alleged that the Government of India and the Afghan Taliban regime support groups such as the Balochistan Liberation Army and Fitna al Hindustan. The military reaffirmed that it will not negotiate with terrorists, demanding they either surrender or face decisive action.
