Global Summits in China and India Address Digital Divide

Two major international forums addressed the intersection of technology, science, and human progress in November 2025. In Wuzhen, China, the World Internet Conference (WIC) opened on November 7, gathering 1,600 participants from over 130 countries. The summit focused on AI governance and the Global Development Initiative, specifically targeting the digital divide that leaves 2.6 billion people offline. During the event, Alibaba's Qwen model and Microsoft's GitHub Copilot received the WIC Award for Pioneering Science and Technology.

Simultaneously, the World Technology Group held the inaugural World Technology Summit 2025 India from November 5-7 in Pune. Hosted at MIT World Peace University, the summit concentrated on AI, quantum computing, and biotechnology. The event resulted in the unveiling of the WTI 10-Point Plan for Collective Prosperity, a blueprint to democratize scientific knowledge and mobilize planetary resilience. The group also established the Custodians of the Realms community to guide future policy and investment.

Both events emphasized a shift toward human-centered technology. WIC delegates advocated for a balance between innovation and security through the proposed World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization, while leaders in Pune positioned the city as a global crossroads for transforming ideas into tangible impact.
