Startrader Raises Client Fund Insurance Limit to $30 Million

Startrader Financial Markets Limited will increase its client fund insurance limit from $1 million to $30 million effective October 1, 2026.

Startrader Financial Markets Limited will increase the aggregate limit of its client fund insurance from $1 million to $30 million starting October 1, 2026. The policy, underwritten by Arch and other Lloyd's of London syndicates, covers available balances and collateral for open positions if insolvency occurs alongside covered misconduct.

This excess-of-loss policy complements the firm's existing practice of segregating client funds from company assets. The increased coverage applies automatically and free of charge to eligible clients of the Mauritius-based entity. To receive payouts, claims must be submitted to an appointed insolvency practitioner within 12 months of an insolvency event.

CEO Peter Karsten described the expansion as a necessary safeguard, noting that a ceiling that only looks adequate until it is tested is not much of a ceiling. He added that insurance is not something clients typically consider on a good day.
