Global Diesel Supplies Drop 20 Percent Amid Middle East Crisis

Global diesel supplies have decreased by approximately 20 percent, a shortage driven by the ongoing Middle East crisis and significant damage to refineries within the Federal Government of Russia. This erasure of a fifth of the world's supply is causing a sharp increase in diesel prices at forecourt pumps globally.

The price surge is most acute in remote regions, specifically the Shetland Islands and the Outer Hebrides, where residents are facing the highest average prices per litre. Consumers in these areas are now forced to adjust their travel habits and spending to manage the rising cost of fuel.
