Franklin Templeton Adds $150 Million to XRP Ledger Fund
Franklin Templeton deposited approximately $150 million in tokenized money market fund shares into the XRP Ledger, bringing the total fund value on the network to $200 million.
Franklin Templeton added approximately $150 million in shares of its tokenized money market fund, sgBENJI, to the XRP Ledger on October 23 and 24, 2026. This deposit increases the total number of shares on the network to nearly 193 million, with a total valuation of approximately $200 million.
All shares are currently held in a single wallet that shares authorized signers with the firm's issuing account. It remains unclear whether this wallet represents a single large investor or an omnibus account managing multiple clients. The sgBENJI tokens represent shares of the Franklin OnChain U.S. Dollar Short-Term Money Market Fund, which is domiciled in Singapore and invests in money-market instruments and short-term dollar debt.
This expansion follows a September 2025 agreement between Franklin Templeton, Ripple, and DBS to enable eligible DBS Digital Exchange clients to trade between sgBENJI and the RLUSD stablecoin. While the fund utilizes the XRP Ledger, the price of XRP fell 2.7% on the day of the report because the fund pairs directly with RLUSD and uses XRP only as minimal network fuel.
