Samsung Develops One UI 9.5 While Releasing One UI 9 Beta

Samsung Electronics has begun development of One UI 9.5 for the Galaxy S26 series, according to reports. This early start suggests the update may arrive sooner than the previous One UI 8.5 update did for the Galaxy S25 series. The current build for One UI 9.5 is reported to have a version ending in CZH1.

This development is occurring while the company continues to refine the current generation of software. Samsung released the fifth beta version of One UI 9.0, based on Android 17, for the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. This follows the initial beta release in May.

Alongside the system update, Samsung pushed updates for the Expert RAW and Pentastic applications. Expert RAW version 6.0.02.4 introduces a Virtual Reflector feature to simulate studio-style lighting and fill shadows. Pentastic version 3.0.01 provides optimizations for the One UI 9.0 environment. These application updates are currently limited to Galaxy S26 devices running the fifth beta of One UI 9.0.
