Maruti Suzuki Reports Record July Production of 248,845 Units

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd reported a record monthly production of 248,845 units in July 2026, a 33% increase over July 2025. This output exceeds the previous monthly record established in March 2026 and follows the commencement of production at Plant D in Hansalpur. This fourth facility increased the automaker's total annual manufacturing capacity across Gujarat and Haryana to 29 lakh units.

The production surge coincided with all-time high total domestic sales of 200,123 units and record passenger vehicle wholesales of 196,203 units. Despite these volumes, the company faces significant demand pressure with approximately 1.6 lakh pending bookings.

Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer for Marketing & Sales, stated that dealer inventory remains low at 16 days, which is substantially lower than the industry average of 30 days.
