Anthropic Merges Claude Features into Unified AI Superapp

Anthropic announced Wednesday the consolidation of its Claude Chat and Claude Cowork features into a single unified interface. This update creates an AI superapp that automatically determines and deploys the necessary capabilities for a task, removing the requirement for users to manually switch between tabs for chat or autonomous task execution.

As part of the integration, the Claude Design visual work tool is now embedded into every conversation rather than existing as a standalone product. The company also launched beta versions of Claude Docs and Claude Slides, which allow users to create and collaborate on documents and presentations within a single conversation. These new tools support exporting files to Google Docs, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and PDF.

The rollout begins for Pro and Max subscription plans across web, desktop, and mobile platforms, with Team and Free plans scheduled to follow. This strategic shift aims to simplify the user experience and attract enterprise customers and non-coding users by centralizing AI tools.
