Viking Adds Viking Haki to European River Fleet

Viking took delivery of the Viking Haki river cruise ship as part of a fleet expansion targeting 114 river vessels by 2032.

Viking took delivery of the Viking Haki, a new river cruise vessel designed for operation on the Rhine, Main, and Danube rivers. The ship features Scandinavian design elements, including a patented square bow and an indoor/outdoor Aquavit Terrace, with capacity for 190 guests across 95 staterooms.

The vessel will serve multiple itineraries, including the Grand European Tour, Danube Waltz, Rhine Getaway, Tulips & Windmills, and various Christmas Market routes. Leah Talactac stated the company is pleased to welcome the vessel to the fleet to offer guests the opportunity to discover destinations in Viking comfort.

This acquisition is part of a larger expansion strategy. The company expects to add 17 more river ships by 2028, two expedition ships by 2031, and 11 ocean ships by 2032. By 2032, Viking projects its total fleet will grow to 114 river ships and 28 ocean and expedition vessels.
