Early Voting Opens for Washington and Wyoming Primaries

Early voting has commenced for primary elections in Washington and Wyoming. In Washington, voters are participating in a contest for five seats on the state Supreme Court featuring 16 candidates. The race has seen approximately $2.1 million in contributions, a surge in spending linked to a pending legal challenge regarding the state's new income tax. Among the candidates is Sharonda Amamilo, a Thurston County Superior Court Judge, and Justice Theo Angelis, who is currently a leading fundraiser for Position 5. The Washington primary is scheduled for August 4.

In Campbell County, Wyoming, early voting began Tuesday for the state primary taking place on August 18. The Campbell County Elections Office is providing early ballot casting to help residents avoid anticipated crowds at the Cam-plex on Election Day.
