Anthropic Secures $35 Billion Computing Deal With Lambda
Anthropic PBC entered a $35 billion agreement with Nvidia-backed Lambda to expand AI capacity via a new Texas data center.
Anthropic PBC entered into a $35 billion computing agreement with Lambda, a cloud provider backed by Nvidia Inc., to expand its artificial intelligence capacity. The deal centers on a data center in Nueces County, Texas, which is being developed by the infrastructure company Hut 8 Mining Corp. Reports indicate that Nvidia Inc. will hold the lease for the Texas facility.
This agreement is part of a larger infrastructure spending campaign by Anthropic to secure massive computing power. The company recently committed to $45 billion for capacity from Nscale in West Virginia, $50 billion with Fluidstack Ltd., and $45 billion with SpaceX.
The partnership aligns with the strategy of Nvidia Inc. to use its financial resources to expand access to computing infrastructure, a move intended to drive further demand for its AI chips.
