KKR Agrees to Acquire Japanese Beauty Firm Ci Flavors

KKR has agreed to acquire Ci Flavors, a Japanese beauty company specializing in skincare and haircare products. The investment firm is purchasing the company from L Catterton and other shareholders, taking over Ci Flavors' manufacturing, global procurement operations, and branded product sales.

While the financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed, Ci Flavors founder Yusaku Horiuchi and Chief Executive Yoshiaki Okura will invest in the company alongside KKR. The company currently holds a strong position in the Japanese shampoo and hair-treatment markets and has already expanded its sales reach into Asia and North America.

KKR intends to leverage its global network and operational expertise to accelerate the growth of Ci Flavors both within Japan and in international markets.
