Sohail Afridi Leads PTI Long March Through Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Chief Minister Sohail Afridi is leading a PTI long march across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to demand Pashtun rights and defy threats of governor's rule.

Chief Minister Sohail Afridi led the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) long march into Charsadda on Saturday, marking the seventh day of the campaign. The convoy is scheduled to pass through Charsadda and stay overnight in Mardan before proceeding toward Swabi. Afridi has coordinated the arrival of party workers from Peshawar, Malakand, and Kohat Division to reach the Swabi Interchange by October 13, with additional caravans from the Hazara region, Bannu Division, and Dera Ismail Khan Division expected on October 14.

While addressing supporters in Charsadda, Afridi rejected threats of governor's rule and characterized the movement as a struggle for the rights of the Pashtun people and the party's leader rather than a pursuit of power. He maintained that the protests are peaceful and constitutional, while criticizing government policies on terrorism and law and order, claiming they have worsened the security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

PTI President for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Junaid Akbar Khan joined the march at Main Charsadda Chowk in Mardan. Afridi is expected to announce the party's next course of action on October 13 once the primary regional caravans have converged in Swabi.
