AMC Records Highest Revenue in 106-Year History

AMC Entertainment Holdings reported record-breaking admissions and revenue following the opening weekend of Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

AMC Entertainment Holdings announced that the opening weekend of Spider-Man: Brand New Day generated the highest total revenue in the company's 106-year history. During the five-day period from Wednesday to Sunday, the company saw record-breaking admissions and food and beverage revenue, surpassing previous benchmarks set by Avengers: Endgame in 2019.

Over 10.2 million moviegoers attended AMC Theatres in the United States and ODEON Cinemas internationally. The film's global debut ranged between $927 million and $932 million, making it the second-highest global opening weekend of all time. CEO Adam Aron attributed these results to strong studio marketing and consumer demand.

In a separate development, the company extended IMAX 70mm engagements of Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey into September at select locations. This includes New York City's Lincoln Square 13 theater, which operated around-the-clock showtimes for the film.
