Bharti Airtel Reports 37.3% Net Profit Growth in June Quarter

Bharti Airtel reported a consolidated net profit of ₹8,167 crore for the June quarter, driven by strong performance in India and Africa operations.

Following analyst projections of significant year-on-year growth, Bharti Airtel reported a 37.3% increase in consolidated net profit to ₹8,167 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026. Revenue from operations rose 18.4% to ₹58,539 crore, fueled by growth in India and Africa. While the profit growth was substantial, the figure slightly missed CNBC-TV18 estimates of ₹8,374 crore.

Key performance drivers included an increase in average revenue per user to ₹264 and a record 1 million quarterly postpaid customer additions. The company expanded its infrastructure by deploying 1,579 towers and 14,540 mobile broadband base stations. Additionally, the company launched new services, including the Airtel Secure Workforce security platform and Postpaid Fast Lane.

Strategic shifts during the period included increasing its stake in Airtel Africa Plc to over 79% through a share swap transaction. Gopal Vittal, the company's Executive Vice Chairman and Managing Director, attributed the results to a diversified portfolio and sharp execution across its various business verticals.
