Malibu Health Products Collapses After Manufacturing Facility Fire
Malibu Health Products entered administration after a major fire at its St Albans manufacturing facility left the company unable to process orders.
UK-based sun-care and cosmetics company Malibu Health Products has collapsed into administration after 27 years of operation. Joint administrators Marco Piacquadio and Rachel Ennis of FTS Recovery Limited were appointed on October 15 to manage the company's failure.
The collapse follows a major fire at the company's manufacturing facility in St Albans, Hertfordshire, approximately two months ago. The blaze left the business unable to process or take new orders, crippling its operational capacity.
While Malibu Sun products remain available in over 40 countries and are stocked by major UK retailers including Morrisons, TK Maxx, and Home Bargains, the company's own website can no longer process purchases. The site currently directs customers to Amazon or its global distribution partner, Pricecheck.
