Peel Region Schedules 43 Provincial Highway Road Closures

The Ontario Provincial Police and regional road crews have scheduled 43 road closures across provincial highways in Peel for August 20, 2026. The maintenance work affects several major transit arteries, including Highway 401, Highway 403, Highway 410, Highway 9, Highway 10, and the Queen Elizabeth Way.

Most of the restrictions involve nightly alternating lane closures to minimize traffic disruption. However, some routes will face continuous closures. The impact spans multiple municipalities, with lane closures occurring in Mississauga, Oakville, and Brampton, while roadwork is concentrated on Highway 9 and Highway 10 in Caledon.

Looking ahead, the Ontario Provincial Police will manage full 15-minute closures of Highway 410 in both northbound and southbound directions between Sandalwood Parkway and Valleywood Boulevard on August 31.
