Morgan Stanley Reinstates Nvidia as Top Semiconductor Pick

Morgan Stanley reinstated Nvidia as its top semiconductor pick, citing a new product cycle and attractive valuation as key drivers for growth.

Morgan Stanley reinstated Nvidia as its top pick in the semiconductor sector on Friday, causing the company's shares to rise 1.5% during premarket trading. The financial institution based its recommendation on Nvidia's current valuation, existing supply constraints, and its position within a new product cycle.

Nvidia expects the emergence of AI agents to drive higher demand for CPUs, although the company maintains that the majority of industry spending will continue to focus on GPUs. To expand its market reach, the company plans to diversify its customer base beyond traditional hyperscalers and increase revenue per gigawatt.

As part of its financial strategy, Nvidia intends to return 50% of its cash to shareholders to strengthen its market position.
