Bitdeer Spends $100 Million on Texas Land for AI Infrastructure

Bitdeer Technologies Group acquired 200 acres of land in Milam County, Texas, to expand its artificial intelligence and high-performance computing infrastructure.

Bitdeer Technologies Group acquired approximately 200 acres of greenfield land in Milam County, Texas, for roughly $100 million in cash. The property is located near the company's existing 563 MW Rockdale facility and is intended to support the development of artificial intelligence and high-performance computing infrastructure.

By securing outright ownership, the company aims to eliminate lease renewal risks and gain the long-term site control necessary to finance and plan data center expansion. Bitdeer expects the Rockdale site to receive additional power allocations in the future due to its established transmission and substation infrastructure.

Following the acquisition, Bitdeer owns or operates 255 acres and 742 MW of power capacity in Milam County. This expansion contributes to a global portfolio of approximately 3.0 GW of power capacity.
