Google Launches Pixel 11 with Tensor G6 Chip

Google released the Pixel 11 smartphone family featuring the Tensor G6 chip and significant hardware-driven camera and video upgrades.

Google launched the Pixel 11 smartphone family, centered on the new Tensor G6 chip. The release introduces several hardware-dependent camera enhancements, specifically for the Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL models, including 120x Pro Zoom and Instant Night Sight. These new capabilities allow the devices to process low-light photographs up to 4.5x faster than previous generations.

The Pro series now supports on-device 4K 60fps HDR video recording, which eliminates the previous requirement for cloud-based Video Boost processing. The Tensor G6 chip's integrated image signal processor and tensor processing unit enable Magic Capture, a mode that utilizes Gemini to analyze more than 400 frames to produce high-quality 12MP photos.

While the hardware-linked features are restricted to the new models, Google may bring software-based tools to older devices like the Pixel 10 through future Pixel Feature Drops. These potential updates include Creator Suite, Camera Looks, and Rambler, an AI-powered voice dictation tool.
