Shweta Tiwari Backs Sonam Wangchuk's Hunger Strike for Education

Actress Shweta Tiwari publicly declared her support for activist Sonam Wangchuk, urging the Indian government to seriously address concerns regarding education and the future of children. Her statement coincides with the 19th day of a hunger strike by Wangchuk at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.

Wangchuk is demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan following allegations of paper leaks and irregularities in competitive exams, specifically the NEET medical entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency.

While Tiwari backed Wangchuk's cause, she explicitly distanced herself from the Cockroach Janta Party. She accused the political satire movement of attempting to benefit from the protest and using Wangchuk's struggle to push its own agenda.
