Telestream Integrates NVIDIA AI to Upscale Legacy Media to 4K

Telestream integrated NVIDIA AI-powered super resolution technology into its Vantage media workflow platform to automate the upscaling of legacy standard-definition and high-definition content into 4K and UHD. The new feature, Vantage Super Resolution, operates as a native transcoder option, which removes the need for manual steps and file handoffs typically required by standalone tools.

The capability is built on the NVIDIA Video Effects SDK and requires Vantage Lightspeed servers equipped with NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs. Charlie Dunn noted that media companies possess decades of valuable content created for different distribution environments that now require modernization.

Richard Kerris stated that AI is most effective in media operations when embedded directly into existing trusted workflows. Telestream will preview the technology at IBC2026, with a full commercial release planned for the fourth quarter of 2026.
