CrowdStrike and UiPath Compete as Cybersecurity and Automation Converge
CrowdStrike and UiPath are vying for market share in software infrastructure as cybersecurity and AI-driven automation increasingly overlap.
CrowdStrike and UiPath are competing for dominance in the software infrastructure market as the boundaries between cybersecurity and enterprise automation blur. CrowdStrike reported fiscal year 2026 revenue of nearly $4.8 billion, representing a 21.7% year-over-year increase, though the company recorded a net loss of approximately $162.5 million. To strengthen its position, CrowdStrike established a distribution deal with OpenAI and maintains a partnership with Amazon to secure cloud workloads via its Falcon platform.
UiPath reported fiscal year 2026 revenue of nearly $1.6 billion, a 12.7% increase. While its revenue is lower than that of CrowdStrike, UiPath achieved profitability with a net income of nearly $282.3 million and a net margin of 17.5%. The company has focused on expanding its AI agent and enterprise automation capabilities through the strategic acquisitions of WorkFusion and Peak, specifically to enhance financial crimes compliance and AI-driven pricing.
