Israel Investigates Unidentified Aerial Object From Lebanon
The Israel Defense Forces are investigating an unidentified aerial object that crossed from Lebanon into the Western Galilee on October 10.
The Israel Defense Forces launched an interceptor at a suspicious aerial target detected in southern Lebanon on October 10. The object later crossed into the Western Galilee, triggering an alert in Al-Aramsha at 7:57 p.m. and prompting the deployment of helicopters and ground troops to several communities, including Nahariya and Rosh Hanikra, to rule out infiltration.
Security camera footage confirmed the object's crossing, though the military has not yet identified the craft. Officials are currently investigating whether the object was a drone model unfamiliar to the Israeli defense establishment. Despite extensive scans and searches, the military reported no unusual findings. No casualties or damage were reported, and warning sirens were not activated in accordance with established alert policies.
Moshe Davidovich, head of the Mateh Asher Regional Council, demanded an immediate meeting with the Northern Command commander to obtain a clear investigation into the incident. The military continues to examine the results of the interception to determine the target's origin and hostility.
