Google Launches Pixel 11 Series With Tensor G6 Chip

Google released the Pixel 11 smartphone series, comprising the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. The new lineup features the 3nm Tensor G6 chipset, UFS 4.0 storage, and displays reaching 3600 nits of brightness. The devices are lighter than previous models and integrate Qi 2.2 wireless charging supporting 25W speeds.

The Pixel 11 Pro XL introduces a 50MP main camera with improved light intake and a redesigned, lower-profile camera bar. Software additions include Magic Capture and Camera Looks. However, the Pro models have lost the thermometer sensor, though they gain a new LED HiLight on the camera bar. While the base Pixel 11 maintains its battery capacity, all other models in the series feature decreased battery capacities.

The series has received negative feedback from the tech community, with critics citing iterative changes and perceived half-baked ideas. The Pixel 11 Pro XL is $100 more expensive than the Pixel 9 Pro XL, while the base RAM for the 256GB model has been reduced from 16GB to 12GB. Despite these criticisms and the lack of significant departures from the Pixel 10, the devices are described as high-quality iterations of the existing series.
