Adani Ports Acquires Evos for 2.56 Billion Euros
Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited is acquiring Europe's second-largest liquid storage operator, Evos B.V., for 2.56 billion euros in an all-cash deal.
Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ) announced the acquisition of Netherlands-based Evos B.V., the second-largest independent liquid storage operator in Europe. The all-cash transaction, valued at 2.56 billion euros, involves the purchase of a 100 per cent stake from Igneo Infrastructure Partners and will be funded through debt.
Evos operates 6.3 million cubic metres of storage capacity across eight port-based terminals in the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Belgium, and Malta. These include critical hubs in Hamburg and the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp region. The acquisition expands the global footprint of APSEZ to 28 ports and terminals across 10 countries.
Managing Director Karan Adani described the acquisition as an important milestone in the company's trajectory toward handling one billion tons of cargo and building an integrated global transport platform. He noted that the company intends to support the sustainable energy transition in Europe while maintaining financial prudence. The deal is currently subject to works council consultation and regulatory approvals.
