CXMT Begins Production of Advanced HBM3E AI Memory

ChangXin Memory Technologies has begun producing small quantities of HBM3E, an advanced type of high-bandwidth memory essential for artificial intelligence chipsets. The company plans to scale up production of these chips in 2027.

Several Chinese chip designers, including Cambricon Technologies and Alibaba Group's T-Head, are currently testing the HBM3E memory with their own processors. If these tests prove successful, the companies intend to integrate the memory into their commercial products as early as next year.
