Palantir Signs $300 Million Agreement With US Department of Agriculture
Palantir Technologies signed a $300 million agreement with the USDA to modernize service delivery for farmers and secure agricultural supply chains from foreign influence.
Palantir Technologies Inc. signed a $300 million blanket purchase agreement with the United States Department of Agriculture to modernize the delivery of services to American farmers. The deal expands an existing partnership that produced the Landmark software platform and the Farmer Bridge Assistance Program, which distributed over $4.4 billion to farmers in February.
Under the agreement, Palantir will develop operational software to support the National Farm Security Action Plan and the One Farmer, One File initiative. These tools aim to consolidate fragmented legacy systems into a single secure platform to reduce administrative red tape and accelerate payments. The software will also provide USDA field staff with mobile digital tools to streamline operations.
The partnership focuses on increasing supply chain resilience and protecting agricultural programs from fraud, abuse, and influence from foreign adversaries. Following the announcement of the contract, Palantir's stock rose 3.58 percent to $151.20 on the Nasdaq.
