Palantir Shares Jump 27% After Raising Full-Year Outlook

Palantir Technologies Inc. shares rose 27% following a raised financial outlook driven by high demand for its AI-powered data analytics platform.

Shares of Palantir Technologies Inc. rose 27% after the company increased its full-year financial projections, forecasting sales up to $8.16 billion and adjusted operating income between $4.89 billion and $4.91 billion. The company attributed this growth to otherworldly demand for its AI-powered data analytics platform, with U.S. revenue increasing 115% to $1.57 billion.

Despite strong commercial growth in the United States, CEO Alex Karp reported poor performance in Europe. He noted that officials in France and the United Kingdom are moving to terminate existing deals to reduce their dependence on U.S. technology firms.

In a letter to shareholders, Karp characterized the business as having Marxist values. He stated that organizations worldwide are becoming wary of handing the keys to their institutions to the creators of language models, suggesting a broader shift toward institutional independence from major AI labs.
