Google Launches Pixel 11 Series and Pixel Watch 5

During the Made by Google event in New York on August 12, 2026, Google unveiled its Pixel 11 smartphone series, the Pixel Watch 5, and the Pixel Tag Bluetooth tracker. The smartphone lineup consists of the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. All models are powered by the 2nm Tensor G6 processor and ship with Android 17, promising seven years of updates.

The devices center on Gemini Intelligence, an agentic AI suite capable of automating tasks like booking rides and managing shopping carts. Pro models introduce HiLight, an RGB LED array around the camera flash that provides visual notifications and indicates Gemini AI activity. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold features a thinner, lighter design with a redesigned gearless hinge and improved durability. The Pixel Watch 5 introduces a Health Guardian suite for monitoring blood pressure trends and insulin resistance, while the Pixel Tag is a $29.99 tracking device designed to compete with Apple's AirTag.

Google increased starting prices by $100 across the smartphone lineup, with the Pixel 11 starting at $899 and the Pro Fold at $1,899. Company executives attributed this increase to a global supplier-driven shortage of RAM and flash memory. To mitigate these costs, Google established 256GB as the new base storage tier while reducing base RAM to 12GB for the Pro series. Pre-orders opened on August 12, with general retail availability scheduled for August 20.
