YSRCP to Support Women's Reservation and Delimitation Bills
The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party will support the Women's Reservation and Delimitation Bills during Parliament's Monsoon Session while prioritizing Andhra Pradesh state issues.
The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party announced on July 16 that it will support the Women's Reservation Bill and the Delimitation Bill if they are reintroduced during the Monsoon Session of Parliament beginning July 20. This decision followed a parliamentary party meeting in Tadepalle chaired by party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Party leadership stated they will prioritize issues affecting Andhra Pradesh, specifically focusing on farmers' concerns, the Amaravati matter, and the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. While the party is committed to the two aforementioned bills, members clarified they will oppose any other legislation deemed contrary to the interests of the state.
The YSRCP position on the Delimitation Bill contrasts with the Indian National Congress, which reiterated its opposition to the proposed bill on Thursday.
