Apple Launches Creator Studio Professional Software Subscription Bundle

Apple launched Creator Studio on January 28, 2026, a subscription bundle that consolidates its professional creative software across Mac, iPad, and iPhone. The service costs $12.99 per month or $129 per year, with a discounted rate of $2.99 per month or $29.99 per year for college students and educators. The suite includes Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and Pixelmator Pro on Mac and iPad, while Motion, Compressor, and MainStage remain exclusive to the Mac. It also provides premium content and AI features for Keynote, Pages, and Numbers, with support for Freeform expected later.

The bundle introduces several AI-driven tools powered by OpenAI, including Final Cut Pro's Beat Detection—which synchronizes visual cuts with audio via a Logic Pro AI model—as well as Magnetic Mask and Smart Conform. Other AI capabilities include Logic Pro's Stem Splitter and Mastering Assistant. However, these features come with usage limits, such as 50 AI-generated images and 50 Keynote presentations per month. Most tools are not optimized for the Vision Pro headset.

While Apple continues to offer one-time purchases for these applications on the Mac App Store, access to Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and Pixelmator Pro on the iPad is available exclusively through the Creator Studio subscription. This marks the first time Pixelmator Pro has been available on the iPad. Senior Vice President Eddy Cue stated the suite aims to empower creators while protecting their privacy.
