Delhi Excludes 4.75 Million Voters From Draft Electoral Roll

The Delhi Election Office published a draft electoral roll on August 31, 2026, excluding approximately 4.75 million voters from the city's total electorate of 14.5 million. Officials classified the excluded voters as uncollectable under categories including Absent, Shifted, Dead, Duplicate, and Others.

The draft roll includes roughly 9.75 million electors whose forms were digitized between June 30 and August 17. Digitization rates varied significantly by constituency, with Rohini recording the highest rate at 83.43% and Tughlakabad the lowest at 52.15%. Additionally, officials expect to issue notices to about 34% of electors who submitted forms but faced mapping anomalies or failed to link details with the 2002 intensive revision roll.

Excluded voters may file claims and objections for inclusion using Form 6 and supporting documents from August 31 through September 30. The Election Commission of India will examine these claims and objections until October 29. The final electoral roll is scheduled for publication on November 4.
