Indonesia Realized Investment Hits 1,010 Trillion Rupiah in 2026

Investment Minister Rosan Roeslani announced that Indonesia's realized investment reached 1,010.6 trillion rupiah, approximately 56 billion U.S. dollars, in the first half of 2026. This represents a 7.2 percent increase year on year and fulfills 49.5 percent of the government's full-year target of 2,041.3 trillion rupiah.
The investment surge generated 1.45 million jobs, marking a 15 percent increase compared to the first half of 2025. Economic growth showed a geographic shift, as investment outside Java slightly exceeded that within Java, totaling 507.8 trillion rupiah.
Foreign direct investment grew 27.4 percent in rupiah terms during the second quarter to 257.7 trillion rupiah, the fastest growth rate in six quarters. Major capital inflows originated from Hong Kong, Singapore, China, Japan, and Malaysia, with significant allocations toward base metals, mining, transportation, warehousing, and telecommunications.
