Soluna and Bitdeer Sign 28-Megawatt Bitcoin Co-Mining Deal

Soluna Holdings and Bitdeer Technologies Group partnered to expand Bitcoin mining capacity at a wind-powered data center in South Texas starting September 2026.

Soluna Holdings and Bitdeer Technologies Group signed a 28-megawatt co-mining agreement to expand Bitcoin mining capacity at the Project Kati 1 site in Willacy County, Texas. Beginning in September 2026, Bitdeer will deploy SEALMINER A2 Pro Air machines to add approximately 1.93 EH/s of capacity to the wind-powered facility.

Under the terms of the partnership, Soluna provides the site, power, and turnkey operations, while Bitdeer retains ownership of the hardware. The two companies will share the proceeds generated from the mining operations. This arrangement marks a strategic shift for Soluna, moving the company from a business model based on hosting revenue to one where it participates directly in mining economics.

Project Kati 1 is an 83 MW data center and serves as the largest operating site for Soluna. CEO John Belizaire described the agreement as a natural extension of the company's operating history.
