ASUR Acquires CPC for 992 Million Dollars to Expand Latin American Airports
Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste acquired Companhia de Participações em Concessões for R$5.1 billion, adding 20 airports across Brazil, Ecuador, Costa Rica, and Curaçao to its portfolio.
Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste finalized the acquisition of Companhia de Participações em Concessões on September 1, 2026. The company purchased the entire equity interest in the subsidiary from Motiva Infraestrutura de Mobilidade S.A. for R$5.1 billion, which is approximately 992.2 million US dollars after customary closing adjustments.
The transaction concludes a process that began with an agreement reached on November 18, 2025. To fund the purchase, the company utilized a loan facility arranged during the initial offer phase.
Through this deal, the operator adds 20 airports across Brazil, Ecuador, Costa Rica, and Curaçao to its existing portfolio. This acquisition marks a significant expansion into Brazil, which is the largest aviation market in Latin America by passenger traffic.
