Microsoft Announces Compact Xbox Nano Controller for November Launch
Microsoft unveiled the Xbox Nano Controller, a compact $49.99 gamepad designed for portable play and users with smaller hands.
Microsoft announced the Xbox Nano Controller, a compact and affordable alternative to the standard Xbox Series X gamepad. Priced at $49.99, the device measures just over 5 inches in length and weighs 3.5 ounces. It includes all 18 standard gameplay inputs and replaces traditional AA batteries with a built-in rechargeable battery.
The controller supports Bluetooth and standard Xbox wireless connectivity to accommodate users playing on smart TVs, tablets, and laptops. Microsoft stated the compact design offers a great option for younger players, smaller hands, or anyone seeking something portable for play on the go.
To drive holiday sales, Microsoft is partnering with Samsung to bundle the controller and two months of Game Pass with select Samsung TVs. The company also plans a similar bundle for new Meta Quest owners, though that specific agreement may not yet be finalized. The Xbox Nano Controller is currently available for preorder and will launch in early November.
