Indian and Polish officials met in New Delhi to strengthen strategic partnerships in digital transformation and technology adoption for small and medium enterprises.

Senior officials from India and Poland met in New Delhi on July 15 to expand bilateral cooperation within the micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) sector. The discussions focused on digital transformation, technology adoption, and the creation of market linkages between the two nations.

Bharat Khera, Secretary of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, detailed India's ecosystem of 86 million registered MSMEs. He highlighted flagship initiatives including the Udyam Registration Portal and Zero Defect Zero Effect practices to the Polish delegation. Deputy Minister Michał Baranowski led the Polish delegation in exploring these innovation and development opportunities.

Both parties noted that Poland is India's largest trading partner in Central and Eastern Europe. Reports on trade growth vary, with one stating bilateral trade grew three times since 2025, while another indicates the growth occurred between 2013 and 2025. The meeting recognized existing institutional ties established in 2024 between the National Small Industries Corporation and the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development.
