Samsung Updates Smart Switch to Simplify iPhone Migration

Samsung Electronics updated its Smart Switch tool to streamline the transition for users switching from iPhones to Galaxy devices. The service enables the wireless transfer of photos, videos, contacts, Apple Passwords, and embedded eSIMs through a QR code scan, removing the need for cables or app installations on the original device.

The process is compatible with iPhones running iOS 26.6 or later. After completing the transfer, users can customize their interface using Samsung's One UI software. The company is positioning the ease of migration alongside its Galaxy AI features, eight generations of foldable phone innovation, and a connected device ecosystem as the primary incentives for users to switch brands.
