Kemi Badenoch Proposes Inheritance Tax Cuts at Party Conference
Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch outlined a program to cut inheritance tax and reduce public expenditure during her conference speech.
Kemi Badenoch, leader of the Conservative Party, delivered a conference speech outlining an economic program titled a better tomorrow. The plan centers on cutting inheritance tax, which she characterized as an immoral form of double taxation. Badenoch argued that "people who work hard and save should be rewarded for that effort".
Her proposed framework emphasizes a less regulated capitalist market, lower public expenditure, and a reduction in national debt. The program also includes the implementation of tough love welfare policies.
During her address, Badenoch criticized the economic policies of Andy Burnham, claiming his approach is driven by a nostalgia for the 1970s.
