Pakistan Lowers Petrol and Diesel Prices for Second Time
The Government of Pakistan reduced petrol and diesel prices for a second consecutive time on August 3, 2026, following a smaller decrease on July 31.
The Government of Pakistan announced a second consecutive price reduction for motor spirit petrol and high-speed diesel on Monday, August 3, 2026. According to the rate list issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority, petrol prices decreased by Rs. 4.08 per litre to Rs. 331.95, while diesel prices fell by Rs. 2.45 per litre to Rs. 389.93.
This follows a smaller price adjustment on Friday, July 31, during which petrol was reduced by Rs. 0.12 and diesel by Rs. 0.66 per litre. Despite these two recent reductions, the overall trend remains upward. Since the implementation of daily updates, petrol prices have increased by Rs. 21.24 per litre and diesel prices have risen by Rs. 66.6 per litre.
