Switzerland's Unemployment Rate Rises to 3.0 Percent in July
The State Secretariat for Economic Affairs reported Switzerland's unadjusted unemployment rate rose to 3.0 percent in July from 2.9 percent in June.
The State Secretariat for Economic Affairs reported that Switzerland's unadjusted unemployment rate rose to 3.0 percent in July, increasing from 2.9 percent in June. The total number of unemployed individuals grew to 139,276 in July, up from 137,751 the previous month and 129,154 in July of the preceding year.
Youth unemployment for those aged 15-24 also saw a slight increase, moving from 2.7 percent in June to 2.8 percent in July. Despite the rise in unadjusted figures, seasonally adjusted data shows that the unemployment rate remained stable at 3.1 percent for both June and July.
