Uber Deploys ChatGPT Work to 30,000 Global Employees
Uber expanded its partnership with OpenAI to provide ChatGPT Work to its entire global workforce following a successful pilot program.
Uber Technologies Inc deployed ChatGPT Work to its global workforce of approximately 30,000 employees on Thursday. The company expanded its partnership with OpenAI after a pilot program involving 1,000 employees from the product, operations, and finance departments.
During the pilot, 80% of users were non-engineers who utilized the AI agent to build interactive dashboards, localize training materials, and analyze operational data. This rollout follows a previous initiative where AI engineers paired with various teams to automate specific job functions.
Uber plans to track how employees develop new workflows and use the technology to evaluate the effectiveness of the tools. This strategy aims to provide powerful AI capabilities while allowing internal teams to experiment with automation to guide future business deployments.
