Cheniere Energy Signs 22-Year LNG Deal With Petrobras
Cheniere Energy signed a multi-decade agreement to sell 0.8 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas annually to Petrobras for 22 years.
Cheniere Energy, Inc. signed a long-term liquefied natural gas (LNG) sale and purchase agreement with Petrobras to provide approximately 0.8 million tonnes per annum of LNG on a free-on-board basis.
The multi-decade contract spans 22 years, ensuring a steady supply of natural gas to Petrobras into the second half of the century. The agreement was executed through Cheniere's subsidiary, Cheniere Marketing, LLC.
Jack Fusco, Chairman, President and CEO of Cheniere, stated that the deal provides fixed fee cash flow visibility to support further brownfield liquefaction capacity growth. He noted that the agreement reinforces the company's position as a leading global LNG provider.
