Turkish Airlines Signs Multi-Year Training Deal With CAE

Turkish Airlines signed a multi-year agreement with CAE Inc. on 20 July at the Farnborough air show to acquire next-generation flight training equipment. By 2029, CAE will deliver five full-flight simulators, comprising one Airbus A350, two A321neo, and two Boeing 787 units, as well as two A350 Level 1 flight-training devices. The contract also includes options for two additional simulators for the A350 and Boeing 787.

This investment is a component of a 10-year flight training plan designed to support fleet expansion and the development of a new Flight Training Centre. Construction on the center began in January and is projected for completion by 2028.

Murat Seker, Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee of Turkish Airlines, stated that the new devices would improve the airline's ability to prepare pilots with high levels of safety and operational excellence. CAE President and CEO Matthew Bromberg described the agreement as a reflection of the trust Turkish Airlines places in CAE as a strategic partner.
