Deutsche Bank AG Raises S&P 500 Earnings Forecasts for 2026-2027
Deutsche Bank AG increased its S&P 500 earnings per share estimates following record-high corporate beats and a broad-based acceleration in growth during the second quarter.
Deutsche Bank AG raised its S&P 500 earnings per share (EPS) forecasts for 2026 and 2027 after strong second-quarter corporate results. The bank increased its 2026 EPS estimate from $342 to $358 and its 2027 estimate from $390 to $420, which implies growth rates of 28% and 17% respectively.
This adjustment follows a record high of 87% of companies beating earnings expectations. Growth accelerated from 25% in the first quarter to 33% in the second quarter. Analysis indicates that growth is becoming more broad-based across the index, as all 11 sectors now show positive growth.
The contribution from megacap tech companies to overall growth dropped from 90% a year ago to 57%. Binky Chadha, Chief Strategist of Deutsche Bank AG, noted that earnings are "beating strongly and robustly."
